Use of iron oxides – copper paste – various acid mixtures provide an intereseting texture and random colours. Controlling the end result is challenging however.

A recent trip to Bali provided excellent subject material for printmaking – currently using these images with gold leaf for added interest.

Since the start of this year I have concentrated on a variety of textured paints – adding calcite to proprietary impasto and acrylics to create the desired rough surfaces which I thought appropriate for the mountain series. The journey is ongoing however…
